SpinSpotters: Find, Edit and Share Biased News Articles

If you’re tired of reading biased news stories on popular news sites and want to do something about it then check out SpinSpotters. This tiny browser plugin lets you highlight biased parts in news articles on any website and discuss it with other Spin Spotters.

How does it work?

    1. Sign-up and install SpinSpotters browser plugin called ‘Spinoculars‘.
    2. Whenever you stumble upon a biased article, highlight that part and click on ‘create spin marker’.
    3. Correct the text with somethig you feel would be more appropriate and save it.
    4. Anyone who has “Spinoculars” plugin will be able to see and rate your markers.
    5. Similarly, you can view and rate markers left by other users.

  • Choose what type markers you want to see (all or highest rated marks only).
  • Currently works only with Firefox (IE support coming soon).
