SocialBib : Swap TextBooks Online

SocialBib is student-oriented community for swapping college textbooks online. You simply make a list of books you need and a list of books you want give away, once a match is found you can proceed with the exchange.

Socialbib: “You’ll save a lot of money. More than you probably think. College textbooks aren’t a money making venture for students. Students spend an average of $900 per year on textbooks. That’s a lot of ramen.”

Note: In order to register with Socialbib you need to have ‘.edu’ email address (ex. anthony.smith@harvard.edu).

Since, I no longer use my student email address I wasn’t able to test SocialBib. In my opinion, for SocialBib to be a useful application, a rich book inventory is the main factor. If anyone has tried it before please let us know in comments.
