SickCity: Realtime Disease Outbrake Detection For Your City

SickCity is a website that lets you quickly find out if there is a disease outbreak in your city. The site monitors social networks like Twitter and Facebook in real time for specific keywords such as “flu”, “chicken pox”, “fever”… etc, and presents results on a charts showing 30 day trends for those words, giving you an early indication of whether an outbreak of a particular disease is in the works.

To check your city charts, go to the site, navigate to your city, and view the results. If you cant find your city you can add it yourself.

The application is new so do not expect it to be 100% correct, and also keep in mind that it works better for cites where social networks like Twitter and Facebook are in high usage.
