Samfind provides you with quick access to essential websites and search engines from a single page. Search Google, news sources, images, directions, movie reviews, HowTo websites, price comparison websites and lots more from one place. In a way it’s quite similar to what you get on Google but with a lot more search options. For instance, see the screenshot of my Samfind homepage below

As you can see it allows me to quickly jump between different search categories (search, images, news torrents etc.) and then search top websites in that category. For example, from ‘maps’ tab I can instantly lookup directions from one point to another using Google or Yahoo Maps services.

Similarly from the ‘reference’ tab I can search for something on Dictionary.com, MerriamWebster, Yahoo Answers or Wikipedia. Quite useful.

Samfind lets you access websites in two different ways:
(2) Go to the Website: Alternatively you can leave the search query blank and click on the website’s name directly. In that case you’re directed to the website’s homepage.
Furthermore, Samfind gives you full control when it comes to the search categories on your homepage. You get to choose what stays on the homepage. So far there are about 30 search categories to select from.

Want to add a new search category or a website? No problem, Samfind lets you do that as well.
Samfind doesn’t require users to register, however if you plan on using it on a regular basis it’s better if you do. Registered members can access their customized Samfind homepage from any other computer and also add it to Netvibes or iGoogle start pages.
