If you have been given an iPhone for work, there’s a good chance your workplace uses a shared calendar to keep employees up to date with company goings-on. Shared calendars are great if you’re forgetful and a little bit lazy; someone else adds the events and you simply attend them, but what happens if you want to contact the attendees directly? Unfortunately there’s no quick way to do this from iOS 6, but now there’s a little app called Reply To All which specializes in doing just this.
Simply download the free app from the app store, launch, and select an event in the calendar. All events are listed on the launch screen, and if the event has attendees already they will be shown via a number next to the envelope icon. To email the attendees simply tap on that envelope and compose your message.
Reply To All gathers the required email addresses for you, which means you don’t have to go hunting around for email addresses among your contacts or remember exactly who is attending the event.
This is a specialised little app that addresses an oversight by Apple, and best of all it’s completely free without any adverts or purchase required. Don’t be surprised if Apple add this functionality to iOS in the future, though!
- Reply to all attendees of a calendar event with a tap.
- No need to remember who is attending and collate email addresses manually, does it all for you.
- Number of attendees shown in the event list, just tap the envelope to reply.
