Extremely useful web service where you can quickly find out whether or not some work published in the USA (with or without a copyright notice) is protected by a copyright law and requires permission for use.

How does it work?

1. Move the red arrow on the right hand side to correct time period.
2. See item’s copyright status and whether you need a permission on the left.
