HotspotShield : Watch Hulu TV Shows from Abroad
Couple of days ago we have profiled Hulu, an online service for watching TV show episodes and movies online. It’s a great website, but as it was mentioned before, it’s only available to visitors from within United States. Like with anything on the internet there is always a way around and that’s exactly where Hotspot Shield comes in. This nifty app lets you access and watch Hulu from abroad. At first I thought it would considerably slow down the streaming but that wasn’t the case. So if you want to watch Hulu from outside U.S. this is the app you need. It’s free and works both on Mac and Windows PCs. It doesn’t require any technical skills either.
Now a bit about OpenShield. Apart from accessing Hulu and other US only sites, this program can be used to secure your internet connection and data when connecting through a public hotspot or any other non-secured wireless network.

It worked for a bit but then my ISP blocked it , buggers, does anyone know where i can find similar software so I appear to be in UK so I can watch the BBC Iplayer?

Sorry mate, that’s the only one I am aware off.
I have been using UltraSurf with good results. Just have concerns with safety and security when using it.
I am in Thailand and this won’t even connect to the VPN
Hotspot works fine for me in the UK. Could an ISP really block it? Couldn’t you just change the port? Meanwhile, could unscrupulous file sharers use this program to hide their IP from peers and the RIAA while using torrent networks?

Did you manage to install it? What errors are you seeing?
I am in Argentina. I managed to install Hot Spot Shield with no problems. My IP address is now from the US, but Hulu says I am using an anonymouse proxy tool and refuses to work.

I have hotspot shield but can’t launch it coz wont connect.
It keeps sayin ‘Daemon start error’ what ever that means.
What can i do?
Did you check the FQA sections on their site? If you can’t find the solutions there I recommend Googling the error.

Yes, unfortunately that is case. Hulu has figured out how to block proxy servers like HotSpotshield and there is currently no other way to watch Hulu outside US.
just download a supported version hotspot shield is updated every onecs and a while and if you are not useing it continualsy and trying to reinstalled you will get Daemon start error
