A couple of things I forgot to say:
- I wish it was quicker;)
- it handled the pictures (and layout of text around the pictures) extremely well: basically it gave me a .doc file that looked 99.999% the same as the pdf. The version from my gf's office was a mess: pictures missing and headings and paragraphs near the pics were in the wrong order.

I love OCRTerminal!

For an urgent translation job, I needed to OCR a 3mb PDF with text in Spanish, and with pictures. While I investigated the free online and install options, my girlfriend took it work to see if any PCs there had OCR software.

After trying the free options, which either failed spectacularly, would not work with Spanish or wouldn't accept the file size, I started working with the file my gf made at her office (some software that came with a scanner).

It had a lot of errors, especially with accents. But then I got an email from OCRTerminal saying the job was completed. I downloaded and it was practically flawless. It had only one percent of the errors of the other.

Yes I had to wait 18 hours before I got it (so the opposite of instant) but it was *excellent* quality.
