Nanocrowd is a website that shows movie suggestions based on movies you like. We have already covered few movie suggestions sites in What Movie Should I Watch Next? but Nanocrowd is different. It works in 2 steps. First, it shows you a list of movie suggestions similar to the one you selected, and then it lets you filter those movies by 3-word nanogenres depending on your mood.
Nanogenre is a set of 3 words that highlights the most important elements in the movie (“glory, epic, spectacle” or “superhero, action, revenge“). They are extracted dynamically by analyzing millions of user movie reviews from the web.
Just search for a movie and get a list of movie suggestions, then filter these movies by 3-word nanogenres depending on your mood

I’m surprised you havn’t mentioned movielens.org, one of the pioneers of personal movie ratings, I’ve been using it for a long time, and it keeps providing good flics.
I especially like the personal RSS feed they provide, this way I get RSS links of films that are up-my-alley.
