The desktop based uploader is really smart, but if files are public by default is sounds like there's still some work to do online for each file... make a second desktop-based private uploader and this will be perfect. When you upload something it is 'public' by default. So yea need to got thru making each new upload hidden which is hectic. So you can have private data.
