Mugtug is a free to use web service that offers two great web tools. The first of these tools is an online image editor. The image editor has a number of impressive options and a great response time.

To get started all you have to do is upload pictures from your own computer, provide a URL for the image, or transfer pictures from Picasa or Flickr.

Once in the editing pane you can adjust the image’s white balance, exposure, contrast, and saturation. Rotate, mirror, crop, and red eye removal features are also available. Additionally you can add effect to your images ““ effects such as black and white, invert, posterize, and sharpen.

The second of these tools is a an online drawing tool.

This great sketching tool gives you a canvas and numerous tools to draw on it. You can use the tool as a simple paint app or use the swatch, gradient, and pattern options to come up with more detailed sketches. Your finished work can also be downloaded to your computer.
