I signed up to this yesterday as we had a server being moved so I knew it would be going offline. It did. I didn’t get an email. So then I went and looked on their web site more carefully. You said “Ping frequency: At least once in 10 minutes” and that’s how I read it too initially but when you look at their web site it says:

How often does the system monitor my sites?
Every 10 minutes at the minimum.

That’s minimum, not maximum and in my case it was well over an hour before it noticed the server was down.

Bottom line: I’ve have the customer screaming before I got the email.

Hi Paul

My bad, I misunderstood their wording. I thought “at least once in 10 minutes” frequency level is the must for any uptime monitoring tool. Apparently, that’s not the case with Montastic.

Thanks for the feedback.
