Does your net surfing involve heavy use of Google Maps? If so, you should check out MiniGoogleMaps. This is a handy Google Chrome extension that lets you access Google Maps from the browser toolbar without needing to leave your current page.

To use MiniGoogleMaps, install the extension first on your Chrome browser. When installed, its icon will appear right beside the address bar. Click this to open a mini Google Map and a small window will pop up in front of your current tab. MiniGoogleMaps contains navigation controls just like the normal Google Maps on a separate tab or window.
You can also key in the location you want to look for in the search box, hit the “Go“ button and the location you searched for is instantly generated in this pop up window. If you can’t see the map clearly, you can adjust its size by clicking on the “Small”, “Medium”, or “Large” at the bottom.
This Chrome extension is handy because it allows the user to view and use Google Maps without interrupting their browsing experience ““ great for checking some stuff up without opening a tab.
