Do you have an important piece of news to report about your area? Perhaps the easiest way to share it with the world is MaYoMo. MaYoMo, derived from “Map Your Moments”, is a free web service for user generated news. Visitors to the site can view news according to the area.

You can place your mouse pointer over a red dot and a floating window will display a preview of the news. Click on the red dot to be taken to the news details which can include text, pictures, audio, and video. The orange dots on the map suggest active news. A timeline slider at the map’s bottom lets visitors filter the news by date. You can also filter news according to categories provided on top of the map. You can also place queries about a certain piece of news; people from that region can then respond to your query by providing details.
