Map-Of-The-Market: Visual Stock Market Map
Map-Of-The-Market is a cool visual stock market map from SmartMoney.com. It allows you to easily watch hundreds of stocks at once. The stocks are nicely organized by industry and you can customize the map by using the control panel on the right side of the map.
The map itself is easy to grasp and visually appealing. The larger the rectangle of the stock, the larger the market cap. If the rectangle is green the stock price is up, if it is red it is down and dark represents neutrality.
If you place your cursor over any rectangle a company name and related information will pop up. The ‘N’ next to a company means that there is recent news. To learn more about a specific company click it’s rectangle and a vertical menu will appear. This menu will lead you to further information about the company including news updates, financial data and historical graphs. The map automatically updates every 15 minutes.
