Kontain: A Unique Flash-Based Blogging Service
Kontain is a free blogging service which is very easy to use. I know people are already hooked on to wordpress and blogspot but this is worth a look. It’s created in flash which is unique and newbie friendly.
It takes 2 minutes or less to create an account.
- Enter a user name
- Enter your email address
- Enter a password
An email is sent to your account to verify after you have registered, after verifying, it takes you to the dashboard where you can start right away.
You can enter Title, Click to add a picture, video or music, add tags and write away. Another good thing about Kontain is that you can share your entry with a friend by writing your friend’s email address and after publishing it will send an email, notifying them about your post.
The overview in your dashboard is quiet simple too. It shows how many drafts you have, what were your recent entries, how many visitors came and vice versa. It also gives you 250MB of space where you can upload your photos, videos and audio.
Your published post is shown in a very simple window, easy to read and visitors can add comments. You can also set the entry settings, if you want to allow comments or not or you need to approve those comments before they get posted.
Since it’s new, it’s simple at first. I’m not sure if you can add advertisements like Google adsense or any other publisher ads but they might have it this feature in the future. Though, the confirmed features that they are working on are

i dont mean to be cranky but It’s really like a personal blog since google can’t index it, right? and i was hoping they use different structure using the flexibility of flash as their design.
The blog content does get indexed by Google, just do a search for “site:kontain.com christoph” in Google and you’ll see all my entries.

Is there any way to import blog posts from another site (like blogspot) ?
@Mary: I believe you cannot at the moment but you might be able to, in the future.
