It sounded mildly interesting until I checked out the iSpeech website. First impression, performance was slow and something in the javascript crashed my IE7.0 browser. As far as I can tell, it has a single free voice which is lower in quality compared to the Yakitome site you list on your review that has many free high quality voices. The Spokentext site also charged money for using the high quality voices, just like ispeech. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the ispeech offering. Thanks for the review. YAKiToMe! converts websites, RSS feeds, blogs, MS Word, PDF, txt, etc. to speech and can output mp3, wav, and other formats. It also has web2.0 groups and automatically makes rss podcasts out of your results. Check it out. I’ve tried this site and it’s definitely not free.
