iPhoneModem: Use iPhone as a Modem to Connect your Mac to Web

iPhoneModem, which is currently in beta, is an innovative application which lets you use your iPhone as a modem and connect it to your Mac to access the internet. Of course you can always browse the internet on your iPhone too but there are always certain tasks which you would love to execute on your computer and in case you do not have an active internet connection, the iPhone can be used instead to connect to the internet.

iPhoneModem is currently only for Mac and provides for encrypted connection via SSH.

Setup for your iPhone

* Install with Cydia OpenSSH.
* Install Insomnia with Cydia.
* Install BossPrefs for starting and stopping the SSH server.
* Change pass word for the SSH server!!!!

Setup for your Mac

* copy iPhoneModem.app to your application folder.
* if you want to launch it automatically, activate it in your start objects file.
* Your network environment “automatic” must exist.
* Start iPhoneModem.app – that’s all.
* Start iPhoneModem Setup.
