HomePipe: Connect To Home Computer From Anywhere

Synchronization of data between different devices we use has always been a problem. HomePipe is a web service that solves this by letting you access files on your home computer from anywhere and using any device such as a web browser or a smart phone.

This cloud based service is free of charge and has no storage limit. You can use it to access files, photos, music and even videos from your home PC. All you need to do is sign up for a free account and install the HomePipe software on your computer.

The software runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and even Mac OS X. The only catch is that the software needs to stay open on your home PC for it to stream files; as soon as you log off your machine the streaming stops.

Cool applications. Thanks for introducing this useful information to us. I am a technical person and I use this kind of software often to access my subordinate’s computers. I use RHUB remote access and TeamViewer for this purpose. RHUB appliance is really good for commercial purposes and works well on both mac and windows. After seeing your article, I am planning to try HomePipe. Thanks!
