GreaseMonkey: The Best Firefox Extension Ever!

Greasemonkey is an extremely useful and probably the most comprehensive firefox extension. Unlike many other firefox addons that designed to do one particular thing, the possibilities with this one are unlimited.

Basically, Greasemonkey extension lets you quickly add so called ‘user scripts‘ which are designed to customize the way webpages look and function. For example some of the things you can do: add video download feature to Youtube, remove ads from Myspace/Facebook/Bebo …, change the the Google logo on google.com, integrate Google Reader to Gmail and a lots more.

To get started

1. Go to Greasespot.net and install Greasemonkey
2. Once Greasemonkey installed go to Userscripts.org and search through over 2 mil. scripts to find what you need. If you need something for Gmail just search for ‘gmail’, looking for something for Youtube search for ‘youtube’ and etc.
3. Once you find the script you need, just press the ‘Install This Script’ button located in the upper right corner of the screen.
