When you first go to the site, the homepage is jam packed with different choices from rare cheeses to specialists meats and oils. The foods are divided up into over a dozen categories such as cheese,cakes, teas, coffees, salts, spices, pastas, grain, chocolate and sauces. As you can see from the screenshot below, you can order them in different amounts; by weight or volume depending what kind of food it is.

It’s important not to forget that Gourmet Library is also a social network of sorts. You can connect with other foodies and discuss the selection of foods there, trade recipes and give advice. There is also a user-generated review section which shows recent reviews of items in the selection. These are normally short and concise but give a good indication as to the quality of the food ““ as many of us won’t be particularly sure what we’re buying.

The shipping is reasonable and depends on what quantity you buy in. Also, if the purchase you make is perishable they will ship it to you in a cold-pack so it’ll still be fresh and edible by the time it arrives at your door.
