Google City Tours is a brand new online tour planner by the Google Labs team. It helps you identify points of interest and plan multi-day trips to most major cities with the help of Google Maps. You just need to specify the location of your hotel and the length of your trip and City Tours will map out an itinerary for you. It is like a minute-by-minute travel schedule for you to follow.

It usually plans with a 3 day trip in mind and shows the major tourist attractions of the city you need to visit over that 3 day period and the exact timings of the visit.

Since Google City Tours has just been launched and currently a labs project, it isn’t perfect and there is scope for improvement in the tour plans which it comes up with. However, as it evolves it could turn out to be an extremely useful service for travelers and tourists.
