For site owners, it is useful to know how often particular search terms are entered. This information is revealed by Google Trends – an app by Google that shows the frequency of search terms with respect to total search-volume.

Google Trends is a free to use web tool that helps you find out how often particular terms have been searched for. You can enter multiple terms into the tool’s search box, separating each term by a comma. The terms then show up as differently colors lines on a graph plot that indicates their search index. A breakdown of the relative search-indexes is shown through lists. Also included in the results are news articles relevant to your entered words.
