A nifty service that allows you to ‘clip’ and collect information (text, images, etc.) from any webpage and share them with others. Simply download the required extension for you browser Firefox/IE and get started. From than you can open and close the mini google notebook by clicking on the icon on the browser status bar .

Features:

  • Add text, images and links to your notebook by highlighting them and clicking the clip button on your notebook icon (in status bar)
  • Through the full-page mode (in menu) you can access your entire notebook with all clippings and organize it into various sections and rearrange by dropping and dragging ‘texts’ between sections
  • Add personal input by either -the ‘new note’ button which lets you add text to your notebook- or -the ‘add comment’ button to add comments to clippings-
  • Use your notebook as collaboration tool by allowing friends to edit your notebook or publish it (people can access via unique web address and in the public google notebook directory)
  • Look up other notebooks that users have created and published

the only problem i have with google notebook is that it automatically imports your bookmarks and their corresponding tags. things get cluttered very quickly if you don’t tag your notes right away.
