If you are in New York or Berlin and looking to organize an event or a group activity but worried that not enough of an audience will not turn up, then you should probably check out this new service called Gidsy. It is a marketplace for activities, meaning visitors can see a list of events being organised in the city across different sectors and sign up for the ones they want to attend. Only paid events can be listed, the host should have a Paypal account and Gidsy charges a 10% service fee from the ticket sales.

The activity can be anything like a DIY workshop, a yoga class or a tour of a historical place. It’s a quick way to organize a small (and paid) event. As a host, you cannot be anonymous. Your profile details will be required. Limited to Berlin and New York City at the moment.
