GE Lighting is a popular and reputable company that manufactures consumer products related to lighting. Understanding that a product should correspond to their customer’s needs, the company has created an iPhone application to help users in choosing the right light bulb. This app is called GE MoodCam.
MoodCam is a free app sized at 5.6MB, compatible with iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad that are running on iOS 3.1.2 or later.
The app helps users determine which one of GE’s lighting products will help them achieve the desired mood of the room. You start by getting a digital image of your room. With the iPhone you could simply shoot the picture; with the iPod or iPad you will need to import the image by shooting from an external camera. You then select the brightness level and other factors to achieve your desired mood.
Once you have created the final look, GE analyzes the picture and suggests which of its lights will be best for your room.
