gDisk: Turn Your Gmail Account Into a Portable Drive on Mac Computers

Are you a Mac user looking for a convenient way to store your medium-sized files online? While file hosting sites could be one solution, Mac users with Gmail accounts have a far better option available: “gDisk.”

gDisk is a freeware application for Mac computers. The program requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later along with a Gmail account. Your first step in using the app is downloading its DMG setup file sized at only 1 MB. After installing this file you provide it with your Gmail account information and start dropping files into the application’s window. Files are uploaded to your Gmail account and the capacity is dependent upon your Gmail capacity. Any other Mac computer with this program installed and with your Gmail information will then give you access to your gDisk files.

Does anyone know how to contact the creator/publisher of gDisk – I can’t get it to work – It completely locks up when you try to create a file/label to put things in? – Has anyone got this program to work?

Same thing here. Damn thing crashes to the desktop as soon as I try to create a label.
    I think it’s a complete dud, let’s forget it.

Yes, I noticed some problems with it as well. The developer clearly states that the application may stop working after any Gmail update. He used to fix it before, but I guess this time it’ got cripled for good.

I have the same problem. It crashes every time I try to add a label or do anything with it.
