Location is becoming more and more important as web technologies evolve. Fwix is a search tool that understands the importance of location and lets you search aggregated local news so you know whats going on in your neighborhood. When you enter a keyword and select a city/country for the location, Fwix displays search results that contains news items, events and real time social network updates.

Right next to the search results is a map of the area with orange pins highlighting the exact locations of the news. Bringing your mouse over any news item, highlights the relevant pin on the map. Clicking on any item takes you to the actual web page. You can also have an automatically updated feed or set email alerts for a specific topic.
