If you have images that you want displayed on your website, a Flash slideshow would serve beautifully. Rather than viewing static images, site visitors will instead view the in-motion slideshow; this will make the images more enjoyable to watch. Through Frobee you can easily create such Flash slideshows from images.

Frobee’s slideshow maker is a free and simple to use web tool. There is no need to register for an account on the site. All you do is click on the big yellow button on the site’s homepage and select the pictures from your computer. Then an editing pane opens up where you can set the size of each image, along with the background color, transitioning style, delay period, and order of the images.
Optionally you can add captions with each image. A live preview of your slideshow can be seen on top. Your result can then be downloaded as a ZIP file that contains the SWF slideshow and an HTML sample code.

Features:
- Create flash slideshows online.
- Converts ordinary image files into a Flash slideshow.
- Lets you add many images.
- Provides a number of features to customize your slideshows.
- Offers a number of transitions effects.

Awesome and extremely user-friendly but pardon the numpty question: how do I place the slideshow in my WordPress blog?
For that you can use embed option while writing the post in WYSIWYG editor.
No problem Chris.. I can’t mention all the details here because its going to be pretty lengthy. I recommend you to find a suitable plugin to do this job for you http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/swf
a shame it adds a very visible logo on the bottom right corner.
i understand the advertising and work of the authors, but some way of removing would be highly appreciated (even with paying).
But i believe if you pay they’ll remove the logo or you can ask them to remove it. But for a free tool its not bad to put the source.
MOin thanks for taking the trouble to respond to my post but I regret I need you to be more specific. I have downloaded the zip acrchive and have two files: example.html and slideshow.swf. I use Windows Live Writer but can see no way to embed a file, nor do I know which one (or is it both?). Any help gratefully appreciated.
Chris
