If you have photos that are a little too dark, you can digitally enhance them using a number of programs. One of the best and free ways to do it is by using FotoFuze.

FotoFuze is a simple and free to use online application that enhances your dark pictures. I tried the service using a dark, bad-quality image which you can see above. After uploading the image, you have to highlight the portion you want to keep.

As you highlight, a preview of the final result is generated and displayed to the right. The right pane is also where you add titles, enhance contrast, reduce noise, and enable/disable automatic cropping.

Under the main image preview, you will notice a black preview with red areas. These red areas indicate any problematic areas. Simply include them in the highlighted area.
