<description>[...] Tumblr also allows you to import RSS Feeds. I&#8217;m a rookie when it comes to RSS Feeds; all I really know is that they are like a list of updates from a particular source, in a simple format readable by a number of programs and platforms, the most simple being RSS readers. I know my phone uses an RSS feed from the BBC News page to generate a list of news items, or links to them at least. So what if there were RSS feeds for Twitter hashtags? One short Google search leading to a Yahoo! Answers page later and I found out there ARE RSS feeds for Twitter hashtags! Inputting your search term or hashtag into http://search.twitter.com generates an RSS feed for that search (at the top right of the page), which can be imported into Tumblr. So now all I need to do is decide on a hashtag, set up a Twitter search feed on Tumblr, and get people to post any UGC (Qik, UStream, Bambuser, YouTube, TwitPic, Flickr) to Twitter with that hashtag; it will then automatically appear on the Tumblr page! In addition to this, I also found a website that allows one to create an RSS feed from any tag in Flickr in the same way (http://www.makeuseof.com/dir/flickr-rss-custom-flickr-feeds/).
