FileTac is a 3 in one web app for easily zipping, storing and transferring files over the internet without downloading any software or registering. Each service comprises of filling out a small form such as the one below.
![]()
The first service is for sending files to your phone. This works by uploading the files from your computer to their servers and getting a code when the upload is complete. You then go to wap.filetac.com and enter in the code you received. Then the file will be downloaded to your phone.
Another two of their services cater to hosting files permanently. These services are “˜File Upload‘ and “˜Image Upload‘. When you have chosen your file and uploaded it using the form, you’re given the file’s URL. You can then forward this URL to people, tweet it or use it to place images on your blog/website. With the File Upload option, you can go a step further by entering a recipient’s e-mail address. This will then send them an e-mail notifying them of the file’s URL.
The final service is to compress files online into a .zip folder. You can upload up to thirty files (each one no bigger than 10MB) and then click compress. You’re then given a .zip file to download which contains all of the compressed files.
Features:
- Transfer files to your Phone via WAP.
- Upload files and get a URL.
- Image hosting.
- Online compression tool.
- Free and no sign up.
Here are three more ways to send files over the internet, and if that wasn’t enough, here’s another three.
