I think anything that helps to encourage and facilitate networking and the transfer of business information is a great idea. Drop card has the potential to develop into an important business contact tool. I will be keeping an eye on the progress of this electronic alternative to traditional business cards.

But isn’t the idea to be easily found? If you can’t be found, you can’t be contacted. It’s all very well having numerous sites that you have to visit to find someone, but everyone uses search engines. http://www.online-business-card.com is search engine optimised which means that business cards can be found solely by using the search engines.

The point of this app is to easily send your contact information to a potential client or customer that you have just made a chance encounter with. With your suggestion how would somebody look for you if they don’t even know who you are?

I’ve been using http://www.thebcard.com, easy to use and in my opinion nicely designed. Best way to create a virtual business card… and many ways to share it with others.
