Are you a Google Docs user? If yes, then make sure to give DocSyncer a try. This newly launched application allows you to automatically synchronize all of your local office files with your Google Docs account.
How DocSyncer Works
First you need to allow DocSyncer to access your Google Docs account. Next you need to download and install DocSyncer client on your Windows PC. Once installed, it will automatically find and start syncing your documents to Google Docs. As document changes, DocSyncer updates its online version as well.
DocSyncer Features
- Synchronize office files from all of your computer to one Google Docs account.
- Automatic Synchronization: Automatically keeps the latest copy of all office documents across all of your computers.
- Document History: Keep track of all previous versions for any document.
- Track all documents in your DocSyncer account.
- From DocSyncer account: (a) launch document on your PC, (b) launch document at Google Docs, (c) view document properties, (d) view document editing history.
- ‘File Association’: Optional feature that allows you to auto-launch office documents on your PC (ex. Word files) directly in Google Docs. However, if the file isn’t on Google Docs yet then it will be opened with the default program (i.e. Microsoft Word). File association supports following formats: DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, PPS, PPSX, ODT, ODS, TXT, RTF, HTML, and CSV.
- Google Docs Mobile: By using DocSyncer to sync your documents, you’ll be able to see any of your documents across all computers from your cell phone.
- Windows only: At the moment DocSyncer works only on Windows PCs. Mac support coming soon.
- Note: While in beta DocSyncer synchronizes files from only ‘My Documents’ and ‘Desktop’ folders.
- Coming Soon : Send documents straight to your desktop by emailing them to your special DocSyncer email.
