Cherple: Receive & Send SMS Messages From Your Computer
Cherple is web service that can connect you with any US cellphone letting you receive and send free SMS messages from your computer browser.
Its completely free to the computer user, while a cellphone user has to pay standard sms messaging rates (refer to your contract for details). You can use it through a browser or if you are frequent user download the desktop version (Mac and Windows).
How it works:
- Send request to a cellphone number.
- Cellphone user accepts the request
- Done. Starts messaging!

But Cherple lets the mobile send sms back to the pc. Not so 3jam.
@mike – that’s odd. When I send SMS messages using 3Jam’s webtop or desktop version, responses are sent back to my 3jam account. The only exception is when I’m offline, which is the only time I have the SMS responses forwarded to my mobile phone.
