I couldn’t find way to add my own sites but I have to say that the list of sites and tools is quite comprehensive. Like under productivity tools, it has web based tools like yousendit, drop.io and under the technology category, it has various blogs which includes top and important blogs for a tech enthusiast. It has a simple user interface and is also very fast in delivering results. As you hover your mouse pointer on the selection box, it immediately pops up the list of categories to choose from.

As you type select a category and enter a search query, it shows the relevant websites in tabs on a single page. As you can see it allows me to quickly jump between different search categories (search, images, news torrents etc.) and then search top websites in that category. For example, from ‘maps’ tab I can instantly lookup directions from one point to another using Google or Yahoo Maps services.

Similarly from the ‘reference’ tab I can search for something on Dictionary.com, MerriamWebster, Yahoo Answers or Wikipedia. Quite useful.

Samfind lets you access websites in two different ways:

(1) Search: Enter the search query and then click on the website’s name. This takes you directly to the search results page.

(2) Go to the Website: Alternatively you can leave the search query blank and click on the website’s name directly. In that case you’re directed to the website’s homepage.

Furthermore, Samfind gives you full control when it comes to the search categories on your homepage. You get to choose what stays on the homepage. So far there are about 30 search categories to select from.
