The feature to add your own plants is particularly interesting as it serves multiple purposes. The first and most obvious one is to showcase your hard work to the community and to ignite conversation. However, as you can see from the screenshot below, you can also use it as a catalogue for your plants to record their health, maintenance, environment and location. For those with more than one house or gardening location (such as professional gardeners and landscapers) you can add different locations to a map for all to see such as in the screenshot below.

‘Following’ a plant will give you regular updates if it is edited and it will also put you into contact with other followers who have that plant or are similarly interested in it. The most standard function is on the homepage is to post your dreams, as you can see in the screenshot above. This is then recorded on your profile if you have one (you can post dreams anonymously if you like). You can also use your dream blog to blog about your dreams on you profile.

The community on SawLogs is a good one. The ‘Discussion’ section acts as a kind of forum area where people’s dreams are posted and then the community analyses them and comments on your dream. From reading through the comments there are definitely some experts on there who know what they’re talking about.

Also, the dictionary section acts as an index of dreams and informs you as to what certain themes or events in dreams could mean. This is a little sparse on content at the moment but as it’s user-generated I’m sure it will soon grow.
