Yap Voicemail is a new app for iPhone and Android that could make managing voice messages much easier. The tool is smooth to set up and lets you read your voice messages in text format. It transcribes voice messages into readable text messages automatically and almost accurately. You can reply to the voice message with an email or a text message.

Another useful feature of Yap Voicemail is that important messages can be found easily by typing the keywords. It also lets you send your voice messages to your email address with the audio file as an attachment.

The good thing is that you don’t need to change your phone number to use Yap Voicemail. It will work with your existing number and is free for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile numbers in the US.

Recordable: Record phone calls online without any phone apps

Numerous smartphone applications let you record the phone calls you make. But these apps cannot help if your phone does not support applications. In such cases, Recordable will be of great help.

Recordable is a free to use web service that is currently in development. It records phone calls online and stores them on the servers of Twilio. Only calls from US numbers to US numbers are supported right now.

All a caller has to do is first call 877-395-3442 and then follow the prompts to dial the recipient’s number. Recordable then provides a session code for the recorded conversation. On Recordable’s website you can use this session code to stream the recording online or download it.

AbbyMe allows you to call anywhere in the US ~~(and dozens of other countries)~~ and deliver your message. Type in your message, enter the phone number and let it make the call and read it out. It doesn’t seem to work 100%, but still fun to play with. What can you do with AbbyMe? Send someone a funky voice message, make a prank call, schedule a birthday reminder message to friends, send a group message invitng everyone to the party etc.

Twitsay : Send Voice Messages to Twitter

A while ago we had profiled Twitxr, a service that lets you post images to your Twitter feed. Images are great but how about voice messages. With Twitsay you are able to do just that: send voice messages from your mobile phone to your Twitter friends. Messages can be up to 10 seconds long and recorded from any phone, both landline and mobile phones.

Before you can get started, all you need to do is create the Twitsay account. For this you’ll need your twitter username and password, and the phone number that you will be calling from. Depending on your location there are four different numbers you can use to call Twitsay:

Once you leave the message it will appear on your Twitter account. Both you and your followers will be able to listen to it.
