CameraSummary: Image Data Extractor

CameraSummary is an online image data extractor that extracts camera-related information from the JPEG images. Just upload your picture and it will instantly tell you what model of digicam was used, image creation date and time, resolution settings and so on. No email or sign-up required.

Actually CameraSummary extracts so called EXIF data. EXIF stands for ‘Exchangeable Image File Format’ and usually is a standard for storing meta information in JPEG images. Most digital cameras now use the EXIF format. You can read more about it on exif.org.

Feature List

  • Extracted information: camera model, when and how image was taken, when it was modified, flash used, image compression scheme, used zoom ratio, resolution and lots more (see above screenshot).
  • Supported image formats: .JPG and .JPEG files only.
  • Max. allowed image size: 1536 KB.
