byTagg: Get Alerts On New Search Results

ByTagg is a desktop application which can keep an eye on your favorite blogs, current news, Twitter postings and even search results and alert you about topics you are interested in. The byTagg desktop client is completely free to use and currently works on Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 and Vista.

Setting up the alerts is really easy, user basically needs to select where byTagg should look for updates (news sources, blogs, web etc.) and provide alert keywords. For instace, if you setup news alert for “iraq” you will only get alerted on Iraq related news. Same applies on alerts on blog feeds. As for alerts on changes in search results there are advanced options that allow user to setup alerts for specific phrases and restrict them to specific domain.

The alerts include the title and a brief summary of the page.
