Google recently released a social media platform for Gmail called Google Buzz and so far, the response has been mixed. With its massive Gmail userbase, Google Buzz is aiming to be the next big thing in social networking.
Now we have Buzzzy, a real-time search engine for Google Buzz and other social networks. Similar to what Twitter Search does, it looks for posts that are related to what you have searched for and displays them in real-time.

Buzzy provides 20 posts for your query per page. For each post you can find the username of the poster, its source and the time it was posted. You can also filter search results by timeline, by source, or by type of media. Filtering by timeline will show posts within the hour, the day, or the week.
Filtering by source on the other hand will show the post based on the social networking site they originate from, for instance Twitter, Flickr, FriendFeed, and of course, Google Buzz.
Finally, filtering by media allows you to view image results separately from video results.

Buzzzy is a nice companion tool that lets you explore Google Buzz without needing to log into your Gmail account.

- Also supports Twitter, Flickr, Friendfeed and more.
- Filter results by timeline, by source, or by type of media.
- Also pulls results from other sources.
