Bubbles : Turn favorite Web Apps to Desktop Programs
How about running your favorite web applications as any other desktop program? Bubbles is a free Windows client that lets you access web services from within the desktop. Open services like Gmail, Flickr, Google Calendar… and pretty much any web application without launching your browser.

Features
- Launch favorite web apps with a single click and keep them minimized on the Taskbar.
- Run Web application like any other desktop program.
- Default Bubbles Apps: Gmail, Google Calendar, 30 Boxes, SlimTimes, Yahoo Mail and Flickr.
- Trun any website or service to Bubbles App. It can be Digg, Del.icio.us, your Wordpress blog, anything.
- Set “Bubbled” apps to launch and get minimized to taskbar on Windows start-up.
- Note : At the moment Bubbles available only to Windows users (2K, XP and Vista).
As mentioned above, Bubbles already comes with a number of preconfigured services and all you need to do is enter login details. However apart from bringing these services to your desktop, Bubbles also adds a number of cool features:
- Google calendar notifier: Get instant desktop notifications for upcoming events.
- Gmail / Yahoo email Notifier: Get instant desktop-notifications for new email.
- Flickr Uploader: Upload photos by dragging them on top of Flickr Bubble.
- Quick shortcuts to frequently accessed locations for each app.

Isn’t this a bit like PRISM from Mozilla??? (Thinks it was Mozilla anyway!) Still a very nifty app.
Exactly. It’s something like Mozilla’s Prism.
it was pre-dated mozilla by about two years, i’ve been using it since early 2007.
I am dissapointed with this program. It seems to only open the selected pages in IE. What really annoys me is none of the pages loaded, not even the Gmail one that came by default. I do not know whether it is due to the network I am on (I’m currently at the university), but I could not get any of the ‘bubbles’ to work. I hope Mozilla Prism is more flexible.
