there’s a critical flaw with shortened URL’s. i refuse to click them. unless i can see from my browser status bar where the link goes then i won’t click it. i’ve added tinyurl to my hosts file and i’ll probably add this bit.ly thing also.

There’s also a Firefox plugin available – https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8172.

It’s currently experimental so you’ll need to login to the Mozilla site, but the plugin works nicely for me when I add it’s button to my toolbar.
