AlmostMeet: Online Group Collaboration for Small Teams

AlmostMeet is an online group collaboration application where users can meet and interact in real time. Unlike WebEx, Dimdim or Yugma which are optimized for one person presenting to many others, AlmostMeet focuses on small group collaboration where everyone’s an equal participant. So everyone can talk to and see each other with audio, video and text messages, see each other’s desktops, draw diagrams on whiteboard, share files and  documents…  etc.

Thanks for including AlmostMeet in your directory. The service is in private beta, but we’re giving out as many invites as we can everyday. It’s also changing rapidly based on feedback; our video is already a little out of date. Would love your feedback too!

One more thing I wanted to point out is that we use peer-to-peer technology for voice, video, etc. That means lower latency, and -in particular- better voice quality that’s almost as good as Skype.
