AllPeers: Share Files right from Firefox Sidebar

AllPeers is cross-platform (Win, Mac, Linux) Firefox extension that lets you easily share files and webpages with friends right from the browser sidebar. Once you download and install the application you should see a small Allpeers icon on your browser toolbar. Clicking on it will open Allpeers sidebar menu along with the list of your contacts. To send a file simply drag’ n drop it over the contact’s name.

PC World: “Need to share files? Forget e-mail, BitTorrent, and instant messaging apps–you won’t find a better program than this.”

AllPeers isn’t bad, but most of my friends refuse to install Firefox. So now I use GigaTribe, which might be an even better way to exchange large files: http://www.gigatribe.com
