To me it sounds like a Flashplayer hardware acceleration problem which was quite common a couple a years back. Right-click anywhere in the video (the green screen) and look at the bottom of the popup menu whether you are using the HTML5 or Flash video player.

For the latter I would start by fully uninstalling Flashplayer

Then get the latest version of it:

Test the video again to see if that fixed the issue.
If that did not help right-clicking the video and select Settings, uncheck the Hardware acceleration.

If hardware acceleration is the cause you can also try updating your graphics card driver and make sure you are using the latest Firefox version. This is usually just an intermittent issue where certain versions just don't want to work together.

1.Try disabling hardware acceleration. Right-click the Flash Player logo below, choose Settings from the context menu. Deselect Enable Hardware Acceleration (on the Display tab), then and click Close.

Which part of the screen goes green - is it the picture area or the whole screen? And two more leading questions:
    - Is this happening only in full screen mode or also in "small picture" view?
    - Does this on different web browsers?
