Does Windows Update indicate any errors when installing these updates or does it say that it successfully installed them?

Go to microsoft then download each exes and install them by yourself manually

Maybe web access problems?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833766go to run and type cmad then click OK and then type the following: regsvr32 msxml3.dll
reboot and try windows update again

How to fix the Microsoft Windows Update failure:Click Start -> Run, type cmd and click Ok
Type the following commands and press Enter after each command
    regsvr32 wuapi.dll
    regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
    regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
    regsvr32 wucltui.dll
    regsvr32 wups.dll
    regsvr32 wups2.dll
    regsvr32 wuweb.dll
Once finished, reboot and attempt to run Windows Update again and your downloads.

Since they are all .NET Framework related I would try to reinstall the actual Framework and then apply the updates.

To give you more details and help please lookup the Error ID. This should either be stated within the Event Viewer, the Microsoft Update website (if you use it to install updates) or there should be a logfile within the WINDOWS directory like "%windir%KBnnnnnn.log"
