How can I back up my Windows programs when my computer constantly crashes?

My internal hard drive has recently become very unstable. Crashing up to 10x a day.

How would I attempt to back up the applications I have installed (without ability to reinstall)? Is there an option to keep my programs?

Simply a copy does not load the program. I did try to move, what options exist? Thank You.

Why does the machine crash? (1) replace hard drive or (2) try to fix the problem.

Try using a Linux live cd. If you have access to another computer, go online and download Ubuntu and burn it. Once you have it running on the computer in question, you'll be able to see and copy those files on your hard drive. Just one note, don't install it. Just run it as a live cd.

Hello, you could try an utility called Steam Mover.  It was originally made to move steam games and installations.  It works with moving applications too.  In order to use it, you will need another harddrive.  An external harddrive would be appropriate for this solution.  Keep in mind that not all applications would work.

Also keep in mind, that with your harddrive unstable, you'd probably have to do it one at the time so that there is not much activity on the drive.  If you are moving applications and your computer crashes, they might get corrupted.
