Why won’t Windows 7 SP1 install when other updates install fine?

Windows 7 SP 1 update fails during installation when it downloaded fine. Moreover all the other OS updates are installed successfully, yet this sole update is not installing.

I did try to cleanup the .NET framework using the article on this site, not sure if that affects anything.

Please help me :) Thanks!

      ha14,

I ran the System File Checker and got no integrity violations.
Should I really go for the Update Readiness Tool, it says its compatible with Windows 7 SP1, which I can't Install now

Do you have any pre-release versions of SP1 installed, Uninstall them before installing the final release version of SP1. Also check if your computer is clean.

Read this troubleshooting guide on the Microsoft Help Center - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2505743

Thanks for the link Basu. I found that I don't have the Windows Update file KB2534366. I think that might cause the problem.

Please help me where I can find it. Moreover I searched it in my list of available update but no KB2534366 was found
