I accidentally uninstalled Intel Control Center. Will it affect my computer? The website suggests it’s optional software and doesn’t seem to be integral to the system. Still, I’m a bit wary!

It will not affect your computer, I have used it, then uninstalled it without any effect.

For most people, it doesn't matter one iota. It is primarily used to optimize the system in high-performance use cases such as scientific and engineering applications or high-end gaming.

After doing a search, it looks like its not really "required". however, this is from a senior engineer from Microsoft:

"Intel Desktop Control Center is designed to help you improve system stability, optimize performance, and control cooling and acoustic characteristics. Available only on performance and enthusiast Intel® Desktop Boards, this dynamic application allows you to do more with your desktop board than ever before."

So, I think I'd leave it alone, personally.

Here is the linky to that conversation.....
